Mail2Print enables direct printing of email messages and attached files (documents and images). It allows users and guests to print by sending an email message (from the email addresses defined in user definitions), without connecting to the organization's LAN. The system sends a reply message indicating success or failure of printing.

Shared Queue |
The Microsoft Windows share name of the printer that is used to print Mail2Print jobs (case sensitive). You can find the name in the printer properties (Start à Devices and Printers, select the printer, right click Printer properties, click the Sharing tab, Share name). It can be a physical or virtual printer and you must have configured it in the printers list before defining it here. |
Server IP |
The Sentinel print server's IP address. This might not be the same server where Sentinel is installed if you are concerned about server load distribution. |
Guest Budget |
The print cost limit per guest. If Sentinel cannot recognize the email of the sender, Sentinel treats the sender as a guest, so it is wise to set a budget limit for guests. (Each guest has their own budget.) |
The number of numeric characters that the unregistered users (e.g., guests) should use in the subject field of the email message as an identification code. The subject field must not contain anything else. Default: 5. | |
Name of the email account that receives the Mail2Print messages for processing. Must be a valid, existing address and should be dedicated to this purpose. (Users send the emails from their own email accounts, defined in the user settings.) | |
